Do you have a webshop?

No, and that's a deliberate choice. Yarn is best chosen with your fingers. But you can call us and we'll reserve or post yarn to you.

Which brands do you carry?

Lang Yarns, Katia, Rowan, Phildar, Borgo di Pazzi, Scheepjes, DMC and Lana Grossa. For specific lines or colours, give us a call to check stock.

I'm a beginner. Can I come in?

Absolutely. It might be the best starting point. We'll calmly walk you through choosing needles and yarn and point you to patterns designed for beginners.

How does the Saturday knit cafe work?

Every Saturday from 13:00 to 16:00. No booking, no fee. Bring your own project, pull up a chair, drink coffee. Asking questions is welcome but never required.

What's the Thursday drop-in?

Thursday afternoons during opening hours there's extra time for stuck projects. A pattern that won't go, a stitch you can't find, a mistake you can't shake. Just walk in.

Can I bring my own yarn for advice?

Of course. We prefer it, even. Then we can look at the yarn itself and give targeted advice on needle size, pattern and finishing.

How many balls do I need for a jumper?

Depends on size, yarn and pattern. Usually somewhere between 8 and 14 balls. Bring or send your pattern and we'll work it out together.

Which needle size goes with which yarn?

Accepted Answer

Every ball has a recommendation on the label. But it's always wise to knit a swatch first and adjust half a size to match your own tension.

Do you have patterns?

Yes, plenty. Individual patterns per brand, knitting and crochet books, regular new magazines. We'll also help you find a pattern that suits a yarn you have in mind.

Can I pay by card?

Yes, with Maestro and contactless. Cash also works. We don't process credit cards.

Is there parking?

Right in front of the shop, blue zone, parking disc required. Behind the church there's a free car park, five minutes' walk.

Can I buy a gift voucher?

Yes, in any amount you like. Lovely for a birthday, an anniversary or someone who wants to learn a craft.

We regularly organise short workshops for beginners and themed evenings. Drop by or call for the current schedule.

Yes. Many customers come from the German border region, but we're happy to help in English too.
