't Schippertje began as a little shop on the Schoolstraat. What stayed: a fixed place for people who want to make things themselves. What changed: the collection, the needles, the patterns. What never changes: that you can walk in with a question.
Four decades of craft
Generations of customers learned their first stitch here, bought their first circular needle here, and came back years later with their grandchildren. The shop grew with seasons, fashions and new yarns, but always stayed this: a specialist shop where you are heard.

How we work
Listen first, then advise.
We know a wrong needle size can sink a whole project. That the same yarn knits up differently in two people's hands. That a pattern on paper can look harder than it really is. So we take the time. For every customer, for every project.

No leftover lots, just collections that last for years and get topped up season after season.
Real advice
We'll also tell you which yarn doesn't suit your project. A good plan beats a wrong purchase.

What stays, what changes
The shop stays a physical place, small, near. The collection grows with what crafters ask for: more plant-based yarns, renewed attention for embroidery, a new generation of crocheters. We're looking forward to it.
